After what seemed like months of asking Magtheridon nicely, we finally managed to put a plug into the fat git's mouth. He died a peaceful death at 8.45pm gametime on Monday 13th August 2007, after a prolonged fight. He is survived by Illidan, Lady Vashj and a bunch of old folks from Mt. Hyjal.
We've had a few 'major milestones' over the last few weeks but its fair to say that this was a biggie. Getting Magtheridon down is our last 'entry level' boss and, once he is on full farm, we can truly start to consider ourselves worthy for SSC and The Eye progression.
The fight itself was a long, tedious and frustrating one. The encounter is not very forgiving if you don't have teamwork, and failing to co-ordinate 2 x 5 man teams at the exact time will basically kill the raid. Working as afully functioning 25 man group is hard work, and its that milestone that is perhaps the sweetest of all.

Next up is going to be the focus on Nightbane attunement and then of course SSC attunement. Meantime, we're gonna practise killing Gruul a bit more and work on Kara to see if we can clear consistently and quicker. We might even go see how Magtheridon's been doing...
